Michael Owen has hailed the impact Mohamed Salah has had since joining his former club Liverpool.
The Egyptian signed from Roma in the summer with somewhat of a point to prove, having failed to produce any consistent form during his short-lived spell at Chelsea.
Salah seems to have returned an improved player following his club-record move and has already netted eight goals and provided a pair of assists for Jurgen Klopp's side.
Former striker Owen, who was part of the side that won the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup during the 2000-01 campaign, admits he has been in awe of the winger so far.
The 37-year-old says Salah's performances to date mean he is starting to justify his fee and believes he will only get better as he continues to work on his game.
"It's been a brilliant start," Owen told BT Sport. "Liverpool are so well blessed. They have pace either side.
"I can't believe how many chances he makes. He isn't an unbelievable finisher, but he gets so many chances every game, his numbers are totting up.
"He is nearly in double figures already. It's brilliant for a wide man. He already looks a brilliant signing."
