Liverpool Legend Steven Gerrard thinks Klopp is still trying to find his back  five.



























Former Liverpool Skipper Steven Gerrard reckons that Jurgen Klopp is still trying to discover his best defensive long term Line up at Liverpool. 

The German manager has been tinkering with his back four and his goalkeeping situation in recent weeks as he tries to devise his best starting line-up.

Klopp opted to start £75m January signing Virgil van Dijk on the bench for Liverpool FC’s 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.


Former Liverpool FC captain Gerrard feels that Klopp is still trying to find out which set-up suits his team best, and also said that he expects to see the Reds bring in some more defensive signings in the summer.

Speaking on BT Sport on Tuesday night, former Liverpool FC captain Gerrard said: “I still think he’s trying to find it [Klopp’s preferred back four].

“He’s obviously brought Van Dijk in as a big-money signing and I’m sure he’ll try and make more signings moving forwards.

“I think he’s still trying to find his back five.”


Liverpool FC are now preparing for their crunch home clash against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds are currently in Third place in the Premier League table  After their rival fail to win in their respective matches.

Klopp is currently looking to try and secure Champions League qualification for the second season running after their  horror exit in the cups league.

Liverpool will be Kick starting their European Journey when the will take on FC Porto in the last 16 of the Champions League later this month.
