The Croatian centre-back was hauled off after just half an hour at Wembley yesterday following his shocking start to the match.
Spurs stunned Liverpool with two goals in the opening 12 minutes with Lovren struggling to live with Harry Kane and co.

Jurgen Klopp and a host of pundits and fans have slammed the 28-year-old for his disastrous 30 minutes of action.

And Lovren has now appeared to take drastic action on social media in the fallout of yesterday’s chastening defeat.

Lovren has removed his profile picture on Instagram, deleted any mention of Liverpool from his bio and disabled all comments on his account.

Lovren and Liverpool are already out of the Carabao Cup and now have a week off before hosting Huddersfield next Saturday.

Following Lovren’s torrid time yesterday, Klopp hit out at his defender, saying: “If he feels not good, that’s okay. Nobody should feel good after that.

“The first goal would not happen if I was on the pitch, but I am the middle of the technical area in trainers.
“It is 100 per cent my responsibility. I don’t coach this type of defending.”

Liverpool have now conceded more goals after nine top-flight games than at any time since 1964.

Klopp added: “Obviously, that’s not a nice statistic. In the decisive moments their desire was bigger than ours. Our defending? It was bad. Bad, bad, bad.

“The whole game the whole result was all our fault - Tottenham was good, they needed to be good, but we made it much too easy for them.

“We have to work on it. We have to prove we are better defenders than we showed. The only way to fix it is to stay strong and work on it.”
