Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that Philippe Coutinho will be considered for selection for the first time this season, with Liverpool facing Sevilla at Anfield in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Brazilian has yet to appear for the team this season following a back injury, but Klopp confirmed that Coutinho will at least be on the bench on Wednesday evening.
Coutinho was left out of Liverpool’s 5-0 defeat to Manchester City this weekend, “It was a decision made with the season in mind. He came back from a long flight, after two substitute appearances and three weeks without training,” Klopp said.
“We play on Wednesday, we play on Saturday, we play, play, play, play, play. I will have the situation all the time now over the next three or four weeks.
“We thought it best to give him three or four days proper training and then he'll be available for us, which is very good news. Phil is a fantastic player, and hopefully we can use him as quickly as possible.”
certainly coutinho coming in now will be a big boost to the reds after their worst ever defeat against man city, everyone knows how good this lad is,
so definitely it will be so nice to see him once again on a red shirt to kick up again.
