Jordan Henderson: ''Mohamed Salah is up there for the Premier League Player of the Year award.''


   






















Liverpool Skipper has backed his teammate to continue to put on a consistent performance, week in week out as he will be a favourite for the Premier League player of the year award come the end of May.

The Egyptian international has been in a blistering form ever since his second arrival to England after his failed mission at Chelsea. 

Notching a combined total of 31 goals in just 37 Reds outings,  including  23 in the Premier League. which he has 20 strikes from his left foot as he beat  former Liverpool legend, Robbie Fowler's record of 19 left footed strike in a single season.

The 25 years old has formed a formidable partnership with Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino [as the fab three], in the Liverpool attack this season. with them finding the net 66 times this season already and also with the team overall 100 goals Landmark Achievement in just a 40th games of the season. 

Salah, who arrived in Liverpool in a £34m deal from AS Roman in the summer has Obviously being a "massive influence" according to Liverpool Captain Jordan Henderson.

"Mo has been incredible," the 27-year-old told The Mirror. "I think playing in the Premier League before with Chelsea helped him because he knew what to expect of the physical demands in English football.

"From the moment he linked up with us in pre-season you thought, 'This lad can play' – but since then he's kicked on again, and he's going from strength to strength. Confidence has played a big part in that, and he's playing full of confidence now.''

"He's scored so many goals, in so many different ways, and he's been a massive influence for us. If he keeps performing at his current level, he's definitely up there for the Premier League's player of the season.


"Top players are quick to develop an understanding on the pitch in terms of their movement and the thing I really like about the three of them [Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane] is that they don't really care who scores the goals.''

''A lot of strikers are selfish by nature, but they enjoy each other's success and they appreciate the team giving them a platform to make things happen in the final third."

Liverpool will host Newcastle United at Anfield come Saturday Premier League games, Before a second Leg tie against FC Porto in the Champions league then followed by  with a Rivalry Match with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
