''England can win the World Cup since Liverpool reach Champions League Final'' Says Tottenham Striker Harry Kane.
New England Captain Harry Kane insisted England can be inspired with Liverpool's successful run in the Champions League this Season as he concedes that his team mate don't really need to have all the qualities to win the World cup in Russia.
The England Striker was confirmed the interim captain of the National team for the World Cup Tournament on Tuesday by the England Manager Garetth Southgate. The England Head coach praised the striker's attitude and Leadership ability.
The Tottenham Striker also pinpoint the era of United boss Sir Alex Ferguson days of reign in the premier league with a team of young players.
''I think we can win it. We're not going to be favourites to win it. says Harry Kane.
"We know we're not favourites to win it but you look at this season for example, nobody would have thought Liverpool would have got to the Champions League final and they did.
"You look at Man United, in the Sir Alex Ferguson days, when they had a young team and dominated the Premier League for years to come.
"It's not really an excuse that we're young, it could be a good thing. I believe we can win it and that's what we're trying to do. Anything else is not good enough, really."
The Tournament will commence on June 14 as England will face Tunisia in their first game of the Tournament in Russia.
