MATIP PASSED FIT FOR SELECTION  AGAINST CHELSEA CLASH

Liverpool have been handed a boost ahead of their game against Chelsea this weekend with defender Joel Matip back in full training.

The Liverpool centre half defender who has missed the Reds’ last two games with a thigh injury was pictured taking part in a full training session at Melwood this evening, and will now give Jurgen Klopp options going into the weekend.

With a midweek fixture against Stoke City next week, it seems likely that Klopp will look to rotate his options, in which case it is most likely that Matip and Dejan Lovren will feature against Chelsea, with Ragnar Klavan available for rotation against Stoke.

Adam Lallana was also snapped in training and could make his return to action against Chelsea, after more than three months out with a thigh problem, whilst Emre Can was not pictured taking part in the floodlit session.
