Dejan Lovren: ''I’m confident we can do it, It’s still in our hands.''
Liverpool Squandered another good chance of cementing a top four spot in their 1-0 defeat in Stamford Bridges which might now leaves them with only a home winning against Brighton in the last game of the Premier League season if Chelsea wins their outstanding match in Mid-week.
The Klopp team started brightly in the first half but got cut-up when Oliver Giroud headed home a fine cross from Victor Moses which was enough to seal the win for the blues and also brought back their Champions League Qualification Hope alive.
Klopp team really could have seal this moment days back with a horrible back to back draw against West Brom and Stoke City which might have being erupted with their Champions League commitment.
With the Blues now looking to take advantage from any team last minute slip up. The Liverpool central defender Dejan Lovren has so much believe that his team will be ready to repeat another last game qualification fixture as the did last year against Arsenal when the responded very well with a 3-0 win at home to Middlesbrough.
“It’s a similar (situation). We know what we can expect,” Lovren told liverpoolfc.com.
“It will definitely be tough. Brighton showed in their previous game against Manchester United that they can win against big teams.
“But I’m confident we can do it. It’s still in our hands. The next game will definitely be a tough game but I’m confident we can manage to win it.”
Liverpool could still get their last chance of the qualification route when the face Real Madrid in the Champions League Final comes may 26 in Kiev.
