Roberto Firmino: We'll Make Porto Suffer

Roberto Firmino says Liverpool's attacking players have thrived since Philippe Coutinho's exit and they are ready to make Porto suffer in their Champions League tie.

Firmino has scored 20 goals in 36 appearances for the Reds this season, including four in his last six games, with Mohamed Salah also in free-scoring form since Coutinho's January move to Barcelona.

"Coutinho is a great player and of course when he left that put a greater responsibility on everyone else to perform without him," said Firmino ahead of Wednesday's Champions League tie with Porto.

I don't know if Porto are going to be afraid but we are going to make their life difficult and make them suffer.

Roberto Firmino - "It is our job to deal with greater responsibility and I think we have done that so far.

"I'm going to do what I can to help [Salah] score goals and to help all the team. I also want to help myself to make a good season.

"I don't know if Porto are going to be afraid but we are going to make their life difficult and make them suffer."

Jurgen Klopp says passion is more important than tactics when it comes to winning games

Firmino scored six goals in the Champions League group stages as Liverpool topped Group E and hopes he can add to his tally at the Estadio do Dragao and prove he is among the best strikers on the continent.

"I am trying to give my maximum for the team and trying to be alongside these great players in Europe," said the Brazil international.

"Of course I want to be at their level but I only focus on playing a good game. If I play a good game then the goals will appear."
