Future Liverpool Player Naby Keita handed 3-match ban for Mane-like high-foot

It has been confirmed this evening that RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita will be suspended for 3 matches following his red card for a high-foot at the weekend.
Guinean star Keita, who has agreed a deal to join Premier League giants Liverpool next summer, was given his marching orders in the 83rd minute of his side’s Bundesliga clash with Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday evening.
His dismissal came after he caught Gladbach midfielder Christoph Kramer in the face with a dangerously high-foot, leaving the German international requiring on-pitch treatment as blood streamed from his face.
It has today been confirmed that the 22-year-old has been handed a three-match ban for his part in the incident, ruling him out of domestic matchups with Augsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt and Cologne.
Ironically, Keita’s challenge was eerily similar to that of current Liverpool star Sadio Mane on Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson last weekend.
The Senegalese international was also subsequently reprimanded with a 3-match ban.
Saturday’s incident marks the second time that Keita has been criticised for dangerous play over recent months, with the African dynamo having been slated for a horrific challenge on Leipzig teammate Diego Demme in a pre-season training session back in July.
