'I don't think Manchester City are superior team to others' admit in-form Mo, Salah as the winger hopes to win the Champions League.

















Neither Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, nor star winger Mohamed Salah, have any fear when it comes to facing Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League. Of all the remaining eight teams in the competition, just Barcelona have better odds than Manchester City of winning it all.

Liverpool’s odds are only the sixth most favorable. Despite being the underdogs, Klopp says he knows what his side needs to do in order to pull out the upset. Salah isn’t fazed by the prospect of facing City again.


“I don’t believe that City have always been ­superior to other clubs this season in the Premier League – despite what everyone says. We have beaten them for a start,” Salah told the Daily Mirror, before then stating how he doesn’t far any team in remaining in the tournament.


“The Champions League always  depends on the draw, but we don’t fear any rival, whoever they are. We’re in the quarter-finals and have the same chances of winning as each of the other seven teams.”

“There are many big clubs still in the competition but you have to remember Liverpool is a great club in Europe too. In these knockout ties, anything can happen,” said Mohamed Salah, 

As Liverpool will be hoping to progress to the semi-final of the competition, the inform Winger [salah] is relishing a chance to be crown Champions.


“I hope to win the Champions League title with Liverpool. I have a target that I want to achieve but I won’t reveal it until the end of the season,” Salah added.

After scoring four goals against Watford on Saturday, Salah is now leading the golden boot race with 28 goals, four goals above second-placed Harry Kane.

Several pundits and coaches have compared the Egypt international to Lionel Messi, with his coach Jurgen Klopp saying on Saturday that Salah bears some similarities to the Argentinean star.

“It’s definitely a good thing to be compared to a big player like Messi. And I’m talking about comparison in terms of goals only which is a good thing,” Salah added.

The first leg is at Anfield on 4 April, with the return league on 10 April at the Etihad Stadium.
