Salah: I Love it when i score.










Egypt international and Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah discussed his team’s performance after defeating Southampton 2-0 in the Premier League.

The Egyptian was awarded the Man of the Match award after scoring a goal and assisting another, adding to his tally of 29 goals in 35 games this season in all competitions.

“We won three important points today. 

''We managed to score in the first five minutes, which made the game a little bit easier and eases the pressure. Everyone was looking forward to score the second goal, ” said Salah in his post match interview.


On reaching his 29th goal this season, the 25-year-old stated, “I am always working to help the team and one way to do that is to score goals.”


He added, “I am always pleased when I score, but my greatest happiness is to help the team. We have to concentrate on the upcoming matches and continue to pursue our goals.”

Liverpool maintained their position in the third place on the Premier League table, sitting two points behind Manchester United. Whereas, Southampton stayed in the relegation zone, as they maintained their 18th place after the loss.


The Reds’ will host West Ham United in their upcoming Premier League clash, but before that, will travel to Portugal to face Porto in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 on February 14.
