Liverpool ending of Manchester City Dominance counts for nothing at Swansea - Admit Matip
Last Sunday Klopp's Reds became the first team to beat City in the Premier League this season when they edged out the leaders in a thrilling game at Anfield.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain open the scoring with a nice drifting long shot to the Left corner of Ederson, which a super effort from Leroy Sane cancel it out in the last minute of the first half. second-half strikes from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool a 4-1 lead.
Late goals from Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan set up a tense finale, but the Reds held on to end City's 22-game unbeaten streak in the league.
However, despite seeing out the Unbeaten run of Pep Guardiola's City side, Matip has called for a swift change in focus ahead of Monday's trip to the rock-bottom Swans.
The centre-back told the club's official website: "Of course we were happy with the result against Manchester City, but now we have to focus on our next game and we're looking forward to it. "It's never easy in the Premier League. We have to fight and stay concentrated.
"It will not be easy to go there and get the three points, so we have to work hard and prepare properly."
Liverpool's victory against Guardiola's men took them to within 15 points of the runaway Premier League leaders, but Matip refused to be drawn on just how much ground the Reds can make up before the end of the campaign.
"We our focused only on ourselves," Matip added. "Manchester City have a lot more points than us. "We cannot control what Manchester City do, but we can focus on us."
